Quick fixes for late or missing reminders

  1. Open Dawakara → Settings → Reminder check-up. It checks your permissions and phone settings and sends a test reminder.
  2. Make sure Notifications are allowed for Dawakara.
  3. Allow Alarms & reminders (on Android 12 and newer). Without it, reminders may arrive a few minutes late.
  4. Set Dawakara's battery use to Unrestricted or Don't optimize.
  5. Check that the reminder volume and Do Not Disturb settings let alarms through.

Phone setup guides

Menu names vary by model and software version. If you can't find a setting, search for it in your phone's Settings app. More detail for many models is at dontkillmyapp.com.

  • Samsung (One UI): Settings → Apps → Dawakara → Battery → Unrestricted. Then Settings → Battery → Background usage limits: make sure Dawakara isn't in "Sleeping apps" or "Deep sleeping apps", and add it to "Never sleeping apps".
  • Xiaomi, Redmi, POCO (MIUI / HyperOS): Settings → Apps → Manage apps → Dawakara → turn on Autostart, then Battery saver → No restrictions. In the Recents screen, long-press Dawakara and tap the lock icon.
  • Oppo and realme (ColorOS / realme UI): Settings → Apps → App management → Dawakara → Allow auto launch and Allow background activity. Battery → Don't optimize.
  • Vivo and iQOO (Funtouch OS / OriginOS): Settings → Battery → Background power consumption management → Dawakara → Allow. Turn on Autostart for Dawakara in i Manager / App manager.
  • OnePlus (OxygenOS): Settings → Apps → Dawakara → Battery → Unrestricted (or "Don't optimize"). Lock Dawakara in Recents.
  • Huawei and Honor (EMUI / MagicOS): Settings → Battery → App launch → Dawakara → switch to Manage manually and turn on all three options.
  • Tecno and Infinix (HiOS / XOS): Settings → Apps → Dawakara → turn on Auto-start, and set battery use to Unrestricted. Turn off any "background freeze" or power-saving setting for Dawakara.
  • Google Pixel and other phones: Settings → Apps → Dawakara → App battery usage → Unrestricted.

Other questions

  • Moving to a new phone: Settings → Backup → Export encrypted file, then import it on the new phone. Family users can restore from encrypted cloud backup.
  • Managing your subscription: subscriptions are managed in your app store account settings.
  • Languages: Settings → Language. English, Urdu, Hindi and Arabic are available.
